Electric Co. Ltd. (SANYO), a leading provider of
environment-
and energy-related products and services, announces the ‘Virus
Washer’, an air
purifying
system for businesses, which will go on sale in
Europe
from March 2007.
The
electrolysed
water technology used in the ‘Virus Washer’ inactivates most
airborne viruses
and
bacteria, and reduces pollen and dust mite allergens from
treated air.
Tests also reveal that the SANYO’s proprietary
electrolysed water technology effectively suppresses avian
influenza
viruses. This result was achieved by collaborative research with
Tottori
University,
Japan
(by a team led by Professor Kouichi Otsuki at the Faculty of
Agriculture).
